Great conversation was the hallmark of Clean Show 2019 in New Orleans. With touches of Mardi Gras and a jazz band marching the floor, Clean Show in The Big Easy had its own unique flair.
The Kreussler team was in full force with the additional power of the senior management team from Chemische Fabrik Kreussler & Co. GmbH, our German parent company. We were joined by both of Kreussler’s managing directors: Dr. Stephan Travers – Managing Director and Head of Kreussler Pharma and Dr. Helmut Eigen – Managing Director and Head of Kreussler Textile Care, Dr. Manfred Seiter – Head of Textile Care Research and Development, Mr. Thomas Zeck – Global Commercial Director of Kreussler Textile Care, and, of course, Richard Fitzpatrick, Vice President of Kreussler Inc.

Create Comfort and Conversation
One of our main goals at Clean Show 2019 was to create an inviting space that gave us an opportunity to meet with clients, partners, and distributors. Custom designed space created conversation pockets with comfortable seating and separation with faux hedges led to excellent business conversations. Our fantastic orange carpet was a conversation piece in and of itself!
Our hospitality was appreciated by people from all over the United States and Canada, as well as visitors from Japan, Mexico, Central America, Peru, Chile, Australia, The Netherlands, Great Britain, and, of course, Germany as people stopped by to say hello to our German colleagues. Listening to the goals and challenges of dry cleaners across the world gives us a meaningful perspective for future products and marketing.
Many of our Kreussler Insiders took advantage of the offer to sharpen their social media skills with Peg Fitzpatrick, our Marketing and Social Media Manager and co-author of The Art of Social Media: Power Tips for Power Users learning the ins and outs of building a brand on Instagram. It was wonderful to learn more about how people are marketing their dry cleaning businesses and tackle their challenges.
Wowed them with Wet Cleaning
Wet cleaning continues to be a growing conversation for dry cleaners and was a hot topic at Clean Show. Kreussler’s LANADOL X-PRESS, part of the LANADOL DRY process, is proving to be a powerhouse product. LANADOL X-PRESS combines outstanding cleaning power with ultimate economic efficiency. Our concentrated products deliver a punch and clients love that they don’t have to use a lot of product to achieve excellent results. Transportation costs are lower and the overall carbon footprint is reduced by using highly efficient Kreussler products.
Christopher White, Technical Sales Representative of Kreussler Inc., ran multiple live wet cleaning demonstrations at The Clean Show. This video is part of a wet cleaning demo that we live streamed on Facebook.
Wet cleaning success is a marriage between textile chemistry, machine technology, and operator expertise. Client after client came to tell us how much they love wet cleaning with LANADOL which, of course, was music to our ears.
Partner with Key Players
For this Clean Show, we partnered with Miele and Veit for wet cleaning. Miele machines were running at the Miele and Veit booths for live demonstrations throughout Clean Show. Our talented Technical Sales Representatives were hustling before the show to get the programming and set-ups perfect at both booths.
Veit was doing demonstrations finishing wet cleaning garments such as wool suits and silk blouses as well as shirt laundry. It was a great opportunity to see the entire wet cleaning process from start to finish with the chance to see, smell, and touch the garments at completion. These shirts were laundered with Trebon Plus in a Miele machine. Very versatile!

At the Union booth, we had a custom-wrapped SYSTEMK4 machine highlighting the benefits of our bio-based dry cleaning process and our coveted USDA BioPreferred® label. Union is a long-time machine partner with us on SYSTEMK4 back to the beta stages when the product was in its infancy. SYSTEMK4 continues to be the only bio-based dry cleaning system in the world.
Focus on the Future
“Millennials are notorious for turning every established structure on its head — they work differently, they play differently, they consume differently.
While every industry is scrambling to realign its approach accordingly, many are missing one crucial insight: Millennials are looking for convenience, and rigid product and service verticals are failing to provide them with that.” [source]
Looking to the future, dry cleaners are looking to expand their domestic laundry and home services to meet the needs of the millennial. Millennials are looking for convenience and they love to use technology for communication sending dry cleaners off to update their websites, create apps for their services, as well as expanding to more fluff and fold services.
